Cramer Dev is a small team of designers and developers who
are passionate about creating exceptional websites.

We like the web. Maybe a little too much, but someone has to keep their fingers on the pulse of this thing. If you have an idea for a startup, website redesign, or something else that you would like to do on the web, we have the expertise to help in your pursuit.

We’ve been around a while and have seen the web change quite a bit. We are constantly researching and evaluating the latest and best methods for building websites and web applications. We attend conferences like SXSW and FOWD regularly and rub shoulders with the best designers and developers in the world.

Markup Factory

In June of 2007, we publicly launched what we think is a revolutionary new platform, called Markup Factory, which packages our best web applications into one easy to use and very powerful content management system (CMS). We build many web projects on this platform because we can usually build things better, faster, and cheaper this way. Not every project is a great fit for this platform, but the majority of websites we build for companies and organizations seem to be a perfect fit. From the Ground Up

In addition to providing a quality content management system, we also help startups and other organizations build things on the web from conception to completion. Specifically, we provide strategic planning, internet marketing consulting, website design, and application development. We have expertise in eCommerce and online businesses as well as intranet systems used internally by companies. Our programming language of choice these days is probably Ruby on Rails, but we maintain projects in a variety of platforms including PHP, ASP.NET, Classic ASP, Server-Side Javascript, and more.

And You're In Iowa?

Yes. And we kind of like it here. Actually, we’re not all in Iowa. Our team has roots that span the continental United States including New Hampshire, Chicago, IL, and California. We’ve been using this thing called the internet to keep in touch everyday and work together and have found this arrangement to be very productive and efficient. Our team meets face to face quarterly for a jam session where we usually try to knock out a fun one day project and catch up a bit. Our main offices are located in Iowa City, Iowa and you're welcome to stop by and say “Hi!” any time!
